A native of the city of Kalamata, located on the beautiful Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece, Chris came to the U.S. to pursue his education. After receiving his B.S.E.E. from Toledo University and M.S.E. from Santa Clara University, he spent more than twenty-five years in the electronics industry in the Silicon Valley as well as teaching engineering courses at San Jose State University and Cabrillo College until 1986, when he made the decision to take his love of sailing to a whole new level: he and his wife Inger sold their home in Cupertino, moved to Capitola, and opened Pacific Yachts! Chris is a member of the California Yacht Brokers' Association, as well as a member and past Commodore of the Elkhorn Yacht Club in Moss Landing. Since he and Inger have owned and sailed numerous sailboats of various lengths in California, Mexico, the Caribbean and Mediterranean, Chris brings his expertise of sailing experience and knowledge of many makes and models of yachts to clients.
Inger, a native of Sweden also came to the U.S. in pursuit of her education and furthering her career. She received her B.A. from San Jose State University and Standard Secondary Life Teaching Credential. After twenty-five years of teaching high school students within the Fremont High School District, however, Inger found it was time to pursue her true passion: sailing! As she and husband Chris had already moved to Capitola and Inger was already working "behind the scenes", she retired and began to take a more hands-on approach. Today, Inger is a licensed sales agent. She and Chris have owned several boats, sailed to and from Mexico, and spent hours sailing in the waters of Greece and the Caribbean; Inger has the experience and knowledge it takes to make a great Sales Agent!
